I just used those two tips to :

We already had Fring to use Gtalk and other faimilliar IM services but Google just launch an official version of their Google Talk Gadget for the iPhone. Here is the info from the Google Talk Blog :
Attention iPhone owners! You can now chat with all your Google Talk buddies while on the go. Our new version of Google Talk is designed specifically for the iPhone and runs in the iPhone’s browser, so you don’t need to download or install anything. Just visit www.google.com/talk on your iPhone, sign in, and start chatting. And because it is built for the browser, it will work on today’s iPhones as well as on tomorrow’s 3G iPhones.

If you now surf on www.brichet.be with your iPhone, you will see an optimized layout for this wonderfull phone
It was easily done with a Wordpress plugin called iWPhone
Thank you Benjamin for this tip !

Fring has just made a new version available for the iPhone !
With this version, you can chat but especially talk with your MSN, Gtalk and Skype buddies.
It’s also a SIP client so you can use VOIP if you have a VoipBuster account for example
Fring was already available for Symbian and WindowsCE phones.

Thanks to an anonymous reader of the site who contacted me through the gtalk applet, I noticed my RSS feed was full of porn
I just updated to Wordpress 2.5 and I hope the problem is solved now !

Edit 21:55
Uninstalled …
After speaking a while with a guest of the site, the history disappeared and was no more able to discuss …
I hope Google will, one day, provide a google talk client with all the features of the three clients …
Edit 19:15
Hmm after a bit testing, this “third” google talk client as some nice features long awaited for the gtalk client (group chat) but mis some others
Copy/paste, send file, talk and seems to use http to communicate rather than xmpp …
So this is a third gtalk client with once again not all the features requested![]()

Finally a new version which runs out of a browser !
It has all the features of the Google Talk gadget (but runs outside a browser), plus it adds new desktop notifications that remind you of appointments and alert you the moment messages arrive. There are notifications for Google Calendar appointments, Orkut scraps, Gmail messages, and Talk chats (of course). My favorite part? The snooze feature on Calendar notifications! Now I can put off that reminder for a few extra minutes without worrying about forgetting the meeting.

Notifications are finally available in Google Spreadsheets ! That’s a very interesting feature, especially linked to the survey feature ![]()
BTW Auto complete seems to work quite well also
Notifications
“Can I be notified when people update this spreadsheet? And can I see what they’ve changed?” We’ve said “not yet” to that question long enough — and today we’ve released “Notification Rules” in spreadsheets so you can get emailed when your spreadsheets have changed. You can even do this on spreadsheets to which you have been invited to view. And the link in the email notification will take you to a version which highlights those recent changes. And… well, there’s more. (Try it!)
Auto-Complete
You can also thank Marin Silic for column-based auto-complete, which takes cues for what you might be thinking from the data above and below your current cell. And thank him again for our updated color palette and function editing using the arrow keys. Function auto-complete comes in this release too, thanks to Kasem Marifet’s part-time help.

You can see a resume of the new features here on linux.com
Thanks to Portableapps.com you can easily try the upcoming Firefox version
without installing it on your computer !
As for others Portable Apps packages, you just need to download it, extract it and run it ! So you will avoid scratching your “production” firefox install.
You can download it HERE

Google just made availabel a long awaited tool : Sync between google and Outlook !
Just download the application here, install it, enter credentials and choose 2-ways or 1-way replication … that’s it !
Not (yet) options to apply automatically categories or properties in outlook (my google calendar is my private one) or sync multiple calendars … but it’s a good start

A video of the new Asus EEE PC !
A bit bigger but 1Go Ram, 8 or 12Go SSD disk, better 1.3 megapixel webcam and … a bigger screen !! (8,9″ 1024×600)
